How To Write A Song

About Songwriting Tips

Songwriting Tips | Why This website?

Songwriting Tips‘ website is setup to be an interaction platform for those who share the same passion in songwriting, music, singing, arrangement, music marketing and other music related discussion. This, I believe, will be useful and meaningful for those of us who did not have the opportunity to study music in college or university level. We learn from others and put into practice. Over time we grow our own brand of music. Most songwriters have the desire to share their work with others. We love those who lend an ear to our ‘masterpiece’. We serenade those who praise our composition and our final production. I believe most, if not all, songwriters have this inner desire that is often intense.

Songwriting TipsSongwriting Tips | Not Just About Songwriting

This Songwriting Tips website is not just about songwriting, though most of the discussion will be about how to write a song. Songwriting is something that involves various faculties of our body. It integrates both the tangible and the intangible into a final product that is, hopefully, appealing to the ear as well as the emotion of the listener. Scientifically, it is known that music opens up our mind and imagination, meaning music calls for more than just the audio faculty. Songwriting is not just about words. It is also more than just sound and tune. Songwriting springs from within a person and put that into a form that the world can listen and hopefully understand what we say.

Songwriting Tips | Resounding The Inner Voice

This Songwriting Tips website may at times seem a bit of skills and a lot of philosophical and psychological matrix. I believe a great song transcends the physical into the invisible and unspeakable realm. The spirit of a great song can only be embraced with our heart in sharing what the songwriter is trying to express with the sound of one’s inner voice. Form, sound and words are the media which we express our inner self. A composition is a form of self-expression. It is also a form of actualization, in the language of psychology.

Sometimes, a song is not about being pleasant to the ear. Many times, it is about expressing our true emotion. Sadness and frustration are not pleasant but they are part of our matrix. Pain is not something we go after but we all experience it. Perhaps, pain makes us human. Expressing all these emotion and feelings may not be pleasant to the ear of the listener. It is however a part of us destined to be shared, if we dare to step out of self-sensitivity.

I hope this website will provide you with some meaning, though you may not be a songwriting enthusiast. Do return and visit soon. Thank you for dropping by. Bless you.

All the best
